Canvas Hair and Nail Salon Websites
Canvas (formerly Helmet) is a beauty salon in Vancouver's Kitsilano neighborhood. In
late 2008 the new owners and management decided it was time for a new do. With little time to waste, I created a robust
content management system with PHP and MySQL. The visual design represents the playfulness and "local" feel of the salon
without compromising their serious side.

Autotrader Website & Blog
I was making amendments to Trader Real Estate during the final phases of the project
when a manager from another project approached our team and frantically asked, "Who here knowns PHP?" Being on
a team of .NET developers, I was the only one who raised a hand. She explained her dilemma: the developer who
had been running the project had resigned, the due date was two weeks away, and work on the website had not
even begun. To me, it sounded like a great opportunity for a challenge.

Trader Real Estate Website
Trader Corporation is known for its auto business. A household name in Canada,
they have built a reputation by providing a place for people to sell their cars, boats, and 4-wheelers.
However, they wanted to branch into the real estate market, and they needed and robust website to make
that happen. As part of a large development team, I took pre-designed Photoshop graphics and built layouts
in XHTML and CSS for the developers. A crucial aspect of my role was ensuring the layouts worked in IE 6,
IE 7, Firefox 2, Firefox 3, and Safari.
